Step 1: Research Vocational Training Opportunities

Start by researching the various vocational training opportunities available in Germany. There are over 330 recognized occupations for which training is required. You can also check the employment website of the Employment Agency, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Apprenticeship Radar of the trades.

Step 2: Check the Requirements

Make sure you meet the requirements for the vocational training program you are interested in. This typically includes having a school-leaving certificate recognized in Germany, proof of German language proficiency (at least B1 level), and financial proof to support your stay in Germany. On the day of your appointment, bring all your documents with you. The embassy will review your application and, if everything is in order, you will receive your visa. If you encounter any problems during this process, I’m here to assist you!

Step 8: Arrive in Germany

After receiving your visa, you can travel to Germany. Upon arrival, you will need to apply for a residence permit at the local foreigners’ office. This permit will allow you to stay in Germany for the duration of your vocational training.
